Laser Facial Skin Treatment for Acne Scars

By

If you are in search of  treatment for acne scar removal by laser what else  do you need to know if it works? Is it the costs slowing you down from having a treatment?

Getting rid of acne scars has usually been something people listen up to especially when you have visible scars. Normally, the only factor that stops someone from going through with the treatment is the lack of information and ,of course, the expense associated with it.

It is widely known that the costs are dependent on the individual patient's skin and extent of acne scarring. The depth on one's skin must be taken into consideration due to having multiple sessions to remove the acne scars. The appointments are usually set at 3 to 4 week intervals using Fraxel laser treatments. The improvement in one's facial skin texture is noticeable after three months.

The complications or risks involve redness and swelling. Sometimes discoloration occurs in people with medium to light or dark-skinned people if the wrong laser is used. If the area to be treated is large, then the costs will also be higher.

Associated Costs for Acne Scar Removal

As an example for a minor acne scar to be treated, people should be comfortable dishing out approximately five-hundred to fifteen-hundred dollars. Individuals with more thorough scarring on their faces may have to pay in the range of $3000 - $6000.

Some important factors when thinking of acne scar laser treatment before beginning a session are to:
" Understand what type of laser the specialist will use for your particular scarring
" Ask the specialist the number of treatments required for your skin.
" Check with other clinics and patients who have undergone laser acne treatment.

Interesting information - so glad I don't have to think about this! It is a burden for people to go through life with acne scars and I guess for some this would be a worthwhile expenditure.

Love and peace

maybe the costs will continue to drop which would only promote the junk food diet even more. It's like hey, I can get rid of these anytime for around $1k vs. the current $3k to $5k

Interesting Info.

There are certain oils that can fade acne scars but I guess some people have acne very severe. Maybe extreme.

This would be a good treatment for them.

A lot of dosh, but hopefully worthwhile. :)

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Some people get acne from shampoos, hair gels, nervousness ad things unrelated to diet. It just depends on the individual.

BTW, Lady E, I had to look up your acronym DOSH...now I know it means money. good to know.

I was just watching a television program where they followed 3 people around who had severe acne and they discussed what options were available to them, most chose to take the laser surgery, I guess it will be the greatest advancement for acne.

interesting. does it work for fungal acne? What if the acne condition still exists? Or does the surgery stop that? Thanks for the good info ocbill.

kimh039, I am not aware of fungal acne. I found anti0fungal treatments for acne using Jojoba Oil, Teatree oil and Lavender oil.
